I think no one in India who doesn't know chapati (roti). Most of the Indians are from agricultural backgrounds. Farmers practice farming in fields and grow vegetables, pulses, grains, and others but one of the important grains is wheat. In India mostly in north India people eat wheat regularly. They change vegetables, and pulses but never change or replace chapati. Sometimes chapati is replaced by paratha or another type of roti(Nan and others) but all are made of wheat. now it is proven that wheat is an important ingredient. Farmers start growing wheat by planting seeds in the field and then growing them carefully with the help of nature. Nature provides water, sunlight, soil, and many ingredients that are required. After some time the seeds converted into plants with golden color grains. After this, the cutting of these plants starts, and farmers separate grains from plants. Now the grains are packed into sacks and go into the market. People buy it and take it to their homes. Ladies start making it dust-free with the help of water and then spread it on the roof for drying up. When the grains dry now they are gleaned. When all impurities were separated, grains were gone for grinding. After grinding we got flour. The person who makes chapati (roti) kneads dough and gives it a circular shape then puts it on the pan, after a few seconds the chapati ( roti) transfers from pan to fire. Now the chapati began to rise and this means the chapati cook well. You see how many processes are completed then a chapati is born. Now this chapati does not see color, race, caste, gender, or religion. It does not have any problem with the rich or poor. All the people on Earth can eat it. You wonder why I am writing this? Because 1.3 billion tons of food waste per year in the world.68.7 million tonnes of food is wasted annually in Indian homes, in simple words it is about 50 kgs per person. When farmers perform farming there is no guarantee that they make a profit. Big farmers who have lots of land bear these losses, but what about small farmers? They fall into debt and when they fall into a debt trap they do suicide. According to Indian Express as many as 11,290 individuals involved in farming — 5,207 farmers/cultivators and 6,083 agricultural laborers — ended their lives last year. In 2021, a total of 10,881 persons involved in the farming sector (consisting of 5,318 farmers/cultivators and 5,563 agricultural laborers) died by suicide. This chapati (roti) does not go to people's homes on its own. People have to buy it from the markets. Mostly all have children in their houses, some children cry because they don't have to eat chapati, and some cry because they have to eat just one chapati. In some societies, people waste very much food, and In some societies, people go to sleep with the hope that if they get some work tomorrow, they will be able to eat food. Today we all have food so respect food and don't waste food. Feed people who don't have food but do not show attitude to them, do not click photos, and do not expect anything from them not even a thank, because humans cannot eat a morsel himself or feed it to someone. It is God who feeds His servants and be thankful that He has included us and you among the givers.
Thank you -
